This lecture provides students with an overview of objectives and approaches for carrying out IS/IT strategic planning. In carrying out strategic planning, various aspects need to be reviewed such as Business Strategy, Global Technical Development, Requirements of Application and Infrastructure, Human Resources, Finance, and others. All of these elements need to be put together so that the final plan in the form of an IT Plan is a plan to support the business and support the executive as a whole. In achieving a complete and efficient strategic plan, a planner needs to know the approach or methodology that needs to be used according to organizational conditions.
