S1-INTRODUCTION TO DISCOURSE - VB-VG-VD-Prof. Padmadewi

This course introduces students to discourse analysis. The course's objective is to expose students to a variety of topics related to discourse analysis, including concepts of spoken and written discourse, the distinction between texts and discourses, and theories pertaining to social discourse analysis. Students will be introduced to theoretical frameworks for social discourse analysis and will have the opportunity to investigate discourses in context. Additionally, they are required to put the theories into practice by analyzing the provided discourses. Additionally, students have the opportunity to have presentations, as well as discuss their analysis. Students will be required to write a report on their discourse analysis as a final project.
