Quantitative Research (S2DPS)
This course offers students types and the methods of research on Education focusing on quantitative research. This is expected to cater for the knowledge and the ability to conduct a research on language teaching in a quantitative perspective. The course leads students to productive presentation and discussion on designing and implementing a quantitative research project. This is from developing a good understanding of critical issues and problems in the teaching of English as a foreign language, formulating statements of research problem, objectives, hypotheses, reviewing related literature, developing research instruments, collecting and analysing data to interpreting the result of data analysis and drawing conclusions.
